Brooke T. - Davis County

Brooke is a swimmer on the Layton High School Swim Team. She loves kids and loves teaching. She has worked with kids of all ages and all kinds of personalities as she has taught ski lessons last winter. She enjoys swimming and helping people learn.

Mia R. - SLC

Private/Semi-Private lessons

Mia has been swimming from a very young age, and loves being a teacher in many capacities. She’s enjoyed working with all kinds of students of varying skill levels to hone their abilities and become confident, capable swimmers. She loves getting to know her awesome students personally, and helping them have a fun, instructive swim experience! She is currently pursuing undergraduate studies in computer science at the University of Utah. In her free time she likes to write, read, spend time with friends, and draw.

Laurel B. - Davis County

Private/Semi-Private lessons

Laurel has loved being in the water since she was little. She goes to Shoreline Jr high. She joined Layton Surfers Swim team a few years ago and loves learning how to be a better swimmer and competing. She loves working with people. Some of her hobbies are painting, walking with her dogs, shopping with friends and playing games with her family. She loves helping people learn to enjoy the water as much as she does.

Eden M. - Davis

Private/Semi-Private lessons

Eden started out swimming at The Swim Academy. She used the skills she learned there to make it on the Layton Surfers team, and is currently in her second year swimming for the Farmington High Swim Team. She loves people, and loves to help children learn to love swimming. Eden is an animal lover and enjoys all things outdoors. She loves mountain biking, hiking, skiing, camping and swimming. When she is stuck indoors, she enjoys doing anything artsy and spending time with friends and family.

Kaydance J. - SLC

Kaydance has love the water ever since she learned how to swim. She goes to Skyridge High School. She taught her cousin and youngest brother how to swim. She loves helping people and meeting new people. Some of her favorite things to do is hike, swim, and hanging out with friends. She loves seeing people fall in love with swimming just like she did.

Jetta B. - Davis

Private/Semi-Private lessons

Jetta has been swimming and in the water for as long as she can remember. She swims competitively for the Layton Surfers Club Team and Davis High School’s Swim Team and loves it! She’s currently a student and loves to learn, but Jetta also loves to teach and help kids. She has a positive attitude and looks forward to helping others learn more about something she loves so much: swimming!

Jamie H.

Private/Semi-Private lessons

Jamie is an American Red Cross Certified Swimming Instructor. She has been teaching since 1994 and swimming since 1986 in pre-comp, USS (United States Swimming), High School, College and now USMS (Masters). She has raced at the regional, national, and inter-national level. Jamie couples her own passion as an avid Triathlete and marathon swimmer with her BS in Exercise Science (w/ an emphasis in Fitness and Wellness Management) to be our top level triathlete coach.

With nearly 25 years of teaching swimming lessons, she loves to teach to all ages, levels, and abilities! She has a gift for working with people who have a fear of the water because she herself drown at 2 years old and worked hard to overcome her own fear.

Lincoln Y. - SLC

Private/Semi-Private, Semi-Group, Parent-Tot

Lincoln is an architecture student at the University of Utah. He has been swimming for ten years and coaching for six years, his specialties being butterfly and freestyle. He has coached for Murray Aquatic Club and Murray High School, and has worked with a wide variety of people and ages. He loves to teach and especially loves seeing people progress. He enjoys painting, crochet, baking, music, and just about anything creative. He spent his last summer as a cast member at Disney World. He will be marrying his wonderful fiancee, Jess, in May and going to the Grand Canyon on their honeymoon.

Lina D. - SLC

Private/Semi-Private, Semi-Group, Parent-Tot

Lina has enjoyed swimming and playing in water most of her life. After a few life-threatening experiences in water as a child she was able to overcome her fears and joined a competitive swim team where she learned many important swimming skills and ways to be safe. Because of this she knows how hard and scary it can be to overcome a fear of water. Since then, she has conquered her fears and enjoys water sports such as whitewater kayaking and paddleboarding. Lina also loves spending time around kids and babysat for friends and family when she was in middle and high school. In her free time she likes to rock climb, play piano, and paint.

Nina W. - SLC

Nina is a senior at Bingham High School. She is fun, easygoing, and passionate. Nina has been working with kids since the age of 9, and loves to teach. Nina had a slight fear of the water growing up, and has learned to overcome it. She is ready to help others overcome their fears as well. Nina wants to work towards a career in child psychology after high school. As someone who loves to help others, Nina knows that this is the right career path for her. She is very excited to get to know her students and begin to help them work towards their goals.

Bailey J. - Davis county

Private/Semi-Private lessons, Swim Group

Bailey has been swimming since she was 3 years old. She has been a part of the Layton High Swim team and has loved her time in the water. Bailey loves teaching kids of all ages. From the young to the young at heart. She enjoys helping everyone strengthen their strokes and helping kids feel comfortable in the water.

Jason F. - SLC

Private/Semi-Private lessons

Jason grew up swimming and loves the water. He was on a Recreational Swim Team (Greenhaven Swim Team) for over six years and even did one year of High School Water Polo. After a brief hiatus, he returned to the water to swim laps for health and fun.
Jason would love to teach kids and adults alike the mental and physical benefits of swimming. He has a small child of his own and put him in the pool at four months old. When not swimming, he enjoys rock climbing and hiking the numerous mountains on the Wasatch Front.
